Little Ol' Me

Today I'm linking up with Allie , which gives me a reason to talk about myself a little bit (as if I needed one).

1. What's the best piece of advice anyone has given you?
'The most important things in life aren't things'... It's so easy to get caught up in buying, buying, buying. The things that matter in life should be how we love, treat, and care for people. By people, I also mean animals. =)

2. If you could meet any blogger in person, who would you choose?
Oh for sure that would be Rachel!  We've got so much in common, I swear she could be my sister.  One day I'll go visit her so she can show me the beautiful Florida beaches.

3. Blogs you're loving right now?
Cece @ Cece is a Mommy!
Rachel @ One Way Ticket To Onederland
Andrea @ Andrea Dekker.com

4. What's your biggest struggle in life?
Letting stuff go. I have a hard time moving forward with relationships and life in general after I've been hurt. I tend to shut down and cut people out, instead of mending relationships. Sometimes it's needed, but often times it only makes matters worse... especially with family. It's not the easiest thing to do, but I'm working hard to rebuild the stressed relationships in my life.

5. How did your blog come about?
I'd followed a couple blogs for a few years and I always thought it would be neat to start my own. I love looking at old photo albums, hearing old family stories, and the like. I thought... how cool would it be to go back and see how our lives were before we had kids, before we bought a house, and everything in between? I never wanted it to be just about one certain thing; I wanted it to reflect us and everything that happens in our lives.

6. Name one good deed you did that went unseen.
It didn't necessarily go unseen, but last Christmas I distributed about 15 mason jars filled with an oven mitt, hot cocoa, and candy canes, to random homes in town. Hopefully someone enjoyed them!

7. Favorite thing to do in your spare time?
I love all things crafty and I had the best time getting to be creative last year for our wedding. I'm excited to have room in our new house to decorate for the holidays. I plan on hosting lots of crafting parties!

8. Tell us something we don't know about you.
I always wanted to be a singer. I can belt out some Reba, Miranda, and Carrie tunes like no other. I never tried to pursue my dream, so I now settle for karaoke nights every once in a while.

9. Who inspires you?
My sister-in-law, Staci is one of the most amazing women I've ever met. Her outlook on life is inspiring. She always gives the best, most up-lifting advice. I often turn to her when I need a pick-me-up. She loves people and it shows!
