Relaxing On A Sunday

We had planned to spend our Sunday on the 4-wheeler at the river getting in some target practice, but the good ol' NM wind was ridiculous.  So we just went to church and spent our afternoon watching some rented movies.  It was actually really relaxing, no complaints!  Oh and "Pitch Perfect" is hilarious.  Go rent it.. now!  =)

Have a great week y'all!

Tig

This is Tig.
She is our 5 year old German Shepherd-mix that Graham found one morning while he was working on a farm.
It was before he and I had even met.  He actually thought she was a coyote pup and he had gone back to his truck to get his gun.
By the time he got to his truck, she had got there and was up in the front seat.  They've been inseparable ever since.
She's very loyal, calm, and an awesome watch dog.
She is also very hard-headed. I've had to carry her out of the house on many occasions because she refused to be outside in the winter.  Summer time is a different story, that girl loves her some sun!
She loves her some milk bones and fresh dove meat.  I’ve gone outside many times to find her with a whole dove in her mouth that she has caught.
We love that sweet ball of fur!

Basketball 2012-2013 (Jackson)

We spent the majority of our Monday and Tuesday nights for the last couple of months watching my nephew, Jackson play basketball.  It's amazing how much a kid can improve in such a short season.

It is definitely always a family event and it's nice to be able to see everyone at least once a week!

Enjoying my time with these lil ladies!

Kelly's 26th Birthday!!!

Today is my sister, Kelly's 26th Birthday!

I can't be with her today, but I can send her some blog-love! =)

Kelly is probably my best friend.  I can tell her anything.  We don't agree on a lot of things but that's part of what makes us so close I believe.  She is so smart, sensitive, loving, and caring.  I wish I was more like her in SO many ways.

She is an awesome mom, wife, and sister.  I'm so proud of the young lady she has become and for all of her hard work to better her little family.  I wish more than anything that we lived closer so I could see her more often.  Maybe one day!

Happy Birthday to my baby sister!

2nd Dating Anniversary

On January 15th, 2011 I met a man that would steal my heart and later make me his wife.  Even though we're married now and have a new anniversary, I can't help but think about this date as well.

Graham is my very best friend and he lights up my life. I thank God every single day that he brought us together in the way that he did.  It couldn't be explained in any other way but fate.  He keeps me grounded, constantly showers me in love, and is so very supportive.  He makes me feel like anything I want to do can not only be done but should be pursued.  He is the most caring, soft-hearted man I've ever met in my life.  I couldn't imagine ever meeting someone that was so perfect.

We decided to spend our 2nd Dating Anniversary at the place that started it all: The Wellhead.

UFO???

Last week while driving back to work from lunch, I saw this rather strange looking cloud.  I mean just look it at, it's obviously a UFO.  Right???

Perhaps it was just a cloud.  Either way.. it was definitely pretty awesome looking.  Even though my dream was for the picture to be posted on HLN's Nancy Grace show, I was told it was shown on Lubbock's KCBD and Albuquerque's KOAT news broadcasts.  I guess since the aliens didn't come down and abduct anyone it wouldn't actually ever catch Nancy Grace's attention.

Never the less, it was also posted in the Artesia Daily Press.  Thanks to my sister-in-law Staci for writing a hilarious article to go with it.  Basically as long as the 'aliens' bleed orange and black, like the rest of us in Bulldog Country, there won't be any problems.

Las Cruces

A couple weeks ago Graham's Dad (Eddie) asked us to make a quick trip to Las Cruces for him to pick up some bags for his pecan harvest that was about to be underway. We made a day trip out of the 6 hour round trip drive. I'd only been there once before, many years ago. It was nice to get away with my hubby, even if only for a day.

Our first stop was San Saba Pecans. After we picked up the bags we hit up the lil gift shop there. Had no idea you could do so many things with pecans! There were cajun, pina colada, chocolate, white chocolate, and the list goes on and on.  My favorite was definitely the butterscotch ones though. Yummo!

Afterwards, we stopped at Buffalo Wild Wings for some lunch. I hadn't eaten there in so long. Being in towns that actually have good restaurants makes me miss living in Texas even more. Before heading back over the mountain we stopped at Starbucks.  We had our Pumpkin Spice frappaccinos and we were on our way !

Wedding Pictures - Us!

Instead of a unity candle, we chose to do a "God's Knot".  There were strands of three colors which represented Graham, myself, and God.  We braided them together signifying God being woven into our marriage.

Mr. & Mrs. Guy

You may kiss the bride...
