31 Weeks!

Baby Guy
*Weighs about 3.3lbs
*Weighs as much as a coconut
*A little over 16 inches long
63 Days to go!

I'm at 31 weeks today and have officially begun month 8 of my pregnancy.  We had a 4 day weekend for Memorial Day and we used it to work on the nursery.  I'd say it's about 90% done at this point, just waiting for a few pictures to come in that I ordered from Etsy.  As soon as they're here and hung, I'll get a blog post written about the room - I just love the way it turned out!

I've been feeling pretty tired by the end of the day and am starting to have some pains in my hips.  I'm assuming it just means my body is getting ready to push this little one into the world!  I've been thinking more and more about going into labor and it's really starting to give me some anxiety.  I'm just so thankful I have a sweet husband to help me get through it all... I just know he's going to be my saving grace when that day comes!  Well him and a good ol' epidural...  =)

I have an appointment tomorrow and we get to have another ultrasound.  I can't wait to see that cute chunky little face again.  Oh and I can't remember if I'd posted it here yet, but we have for sure decided on a name and her letters that I ordered for her room even came in over the weekend.  We'll be sharing it with our families in the next few weeks.

Whew!  This post is going to be short and sweet, I've got work to do.  Have a great week and please keep my little family in your prayers!

30 Weeks!

Baby Guy
*Weighs as much as a head of cabbage
*Weighs 2.75lbs
*15.7 inches in length
*70 days to go!

Today marks 30 weeks, which means I'm 3/4's of the way done with this pregnancy journey!  This is my last week in month 7 as well and I'm finally starting to feel a little pressure to get things going in her nursery.

Her quilt came in last week and a couple of pictures I ordered came in yesterday.  I had every intention of posting pictures of the decor as we get them in, but perhaps I'll just do one big post once we get the room completely done.  We've also decided on a name and I even ordered letters for above her crib this morning.  They'll probably take a couple weeks to come in, then I plan to paint them.  Graham and I are taking Friday off to with our long Memorial Day weekend and I'm hoping to at least get the accent wall in her room painted so I can get stuff hung up as it comes in.  I also sold Graham's beloved futon last week.  Watching him haul it outside made me a little sad... he loved that thing, but it was time for it to go!

I haven't felt like cooking much lately, so Graham has helped out a bunch with grilling most nights of the week.  I cook probably twice a week now, but I still keep busy mowing the yard and chasing water sprinklers in the front and back.  Next year we are definitely getting a sprinkler system put in.  I swear I spend most of my time after work making sure the little tractor isn't running down the street!

Same ol', same ol' in the annoying symptoms department.  I wake up 4-6 times a night to go pee, but luckily I very seldom have a hard time getting back to sleep.  My feet haven't been swelling as bad, but I've been drinking more water too - hence the numerous bathroom trips!  We've had the nasty habit of sitting on the couch (instead of at the table) while we eat dinner, and having this little girl wedged up into my ribs is making it impossible to continue to eat there.  It'll be good for us to get used to eating at the table again when she comes anyways.

It's getting hella hot outside and it's hard for me to stay outside like I normally would want to.  This little girl makes it hard enough to breathe right nowadays, much less fighting the heat - it just zaps me!

Continue to keep us in your prayers.  We're getting closer!

Mother's Day

We made a weekend trip to Levelland to see my family the weekend of the 3rd and we ended up celebrating Mother's day with my mama at that time, since we wouldn't be back in town for the official day.  I got a little crafty this year and made some wreaths.  Thank you Pinterest for some great ideas!  My mama loved hers and it looked great in her new apartment.  =)

We celebrated Mother's day this past Saturday with Graham's family at Dani's house.  We enjoyed pizza, cake, and cookies.  No complaints from this pregnant lady!  I decided to be a little crafty again with Debbie's gift and made another wreath.  I'm really loving the way this one turned out!  I got the stuff to make one for our house like this one too!

On Sunday I had the most relaxing day I'd had in a really long time.  We slept late, then got ready and had an awesome brunch at Adobe Rose.  I was too busy chowing down to take pictures, but I had banana nut bread french toast and let me tell you - it was as amazing as it sounds!  It put me in a food coma and when we got home we took a nap.  I'm telling ya, it was the best day I've had in so long!

Although we haven't got to meet our baby girl yet, my sweet husband made sure that I wasn't forgotten on Mother's day.  Is this not the cutest statue you've ever seen?  It was totally unexpected and it meant the absolute world to me.  I'll cherish it and him always!

29 Weeks!

Baby Guy
* The size of a butternut squash
*Weighs 2.5lbs
*15 inches long
77 days to go!

Today puts me at 29 weeks and I just can't believe how fast time is flying and how at the same time it still feels like I have so much longer to go.  It's hard to explain.

I ordered baby girl's first blanket off of Etsy last week and I'm hoping it'll come in this week.  We've decided not to do an actual them for her nursery, but use the colors red, turquoise, and pink.  I've found some super cute wall art on Etsy and am planning on getting it all ordered in the next few weeks so that we can get her room done.  We plan on painting the large wall that the crib will be against turquoise and decorating with red and pink wall decor.  I also find a site online to order the letters of her name - I just want something a little different then Hobby Lobby can provide.  The letters come unfinished and I'll paint them pink.  They're going to look so cute against that turquoise wall!

We made a tiny bit of progress in getting her room cleaned out, since I sold the treadmill that we just had to have but used like twice.  :)  We have our old queen bed in the other spare room that takes up way too much space and a futon in the nursery that is freaking uncomfortable.  I'm trying to decide if I want to make more room and keep the futon in the spare bedroom or keep my future guests comfort in mind and keep the bed that pretty much takes up every bit of space in there.  Decisions, decisions.

I haven't been having near as many issues with swelling this past week, although it definitely still comes and goes.  I even saw my ankle bones for a short period yesterday... I hadn't seen them in months!  I am starting to get exhausted though.  When I get home from work I water all of our plants and then start the water sprinklers in both yards - and by the time I'm done with that little bit, I'm just so tired!  I'm definitely getting to the point that I'm not wanting to cook very much.  Luckily it's been so warm that Graham can take care of dinner by firing up the grill.  Now if only the pesky wind would go away...

At my last appointment, the dr started having me do kick counts, where you count baby's movements to make sure that everything is still going good in there.  There should be 10 movements (kicks, rolls, punches, jabs, whatever) in a 2 hour period each day.  Well actually there are tons more, but the dr. said not to get obsessed with it, just to make sure it was happening each day.  So far I've had no problems tracking her movement.  It seems like she moves constantly and it's getting to where it hurts!

Keep our little family in your prayers please and thank you!

28 Weeks!

Baby Guy
*The size of an eggplant
*14.8 inches long
*Weighs 2.25 lbs
84 days to go!

I'm 28 weeks as of today and officially in my 3rd trimester!  We have an ultrasound this Thursday afternoon and I can't wait to see my sweet little baby on that monitor.  We last had one at the end of March and I'm anxious to see how much she's grown.  I think it may even be a 3d scan, but I'm not completely sure.  I'm thinking after this appointment I'll get busy ordering all the cute nursery decor I've found on Etsy!

Baby is moving like crazy these days and although I love it - I'd be lying if I said it didn't feel weird.  Sometimes her kicks just make me flinch... they're so strong!  Graham's enjoying it now that he's finally getting to feel them too.

Same overall symptoms as the previous weeks: frequent urination, craving carbs and sweets, hair is growing like crazy, and I'm moody as hell at work.  Nothing new!  haha!  I know it's not going to be anywhere close to a "vacation", but I'm counting down the days until I get to get away from work for 6 weeks.  I really don't want to go back, but I haven't figured out a way to make that happen yet.  I'll just continue to pray and leave it in God's hands.

I've been keeping really busy at home with mowing and watering the yard, watering the plants, and 'trying' to keep the house clean.  I mean it's not like a tornado has been through there, but it could definitely use a good scrub down.  I just don't wanna!

My bff, sister, and SIL are starting to get busy making plans for my baby shower and I'm so excited.  The date's set for June 7th, so I'll have plenty of time to get whatever we still need that we don't end up getting at the shower.  That way if baby comes early (like I'm hoping), we'll be prepared.

We had a great weekend visiting my family in Texas, but I was so glad to be home.  I'm just getting far too big to be in the truck for hours at a time and I'm most comfortable in my own bed.  That will likely be my last trip away from home until after delivery.  =(

Please continue to keep our little family in your prayers!

My 29th Birthday!

Why yes, yes this post is almost a month late.  Sue me.

April 11th was my 29th birthday.  It's so hard to believe this will be the last year in my 20's, but I have a feeling it's going to be pretty memorable!  =)

I started my day off with cake - because I mean who doesn't love cake?  Thanks to the guys at work!!

Birthday selfie!

After work, my sweet husband took me to dinner at an awesome local restaurant, the Adobe Rose.  They have amazing margaritas and the best sangria - all of which I didn't get to partake in any of.  LOL!  Their food is awesome too though... and y'all know this pregnant girl likes to eat.  Hell this girl liked to eat long before she was pregnant!

Afterwards, we took a long relaxing dirt road drive out to the middle of nowhere and watched one of the most gorgeous sunsets I've ever seen.  It was absolutely breath-taking!  I probably annoy people to no end with all the lovey-dovey stuff I post about my sweet husband, but I don't care.  I just love that man!  Being out in the middle of nowhere, just the two of us, is my favorite place to be!!

God is good!

27 Weeks!

Baby Guy
*The size of a head of cauliflower
*14.5 inches long
*Almost 2lbs
91 days to go!

I'll start by saying the baby has taken over my brain.  I normally do these posts every Tuesday and I just completely forgot to even have the hubby take a picture that morning.  I remembered to have him take it on Wednesday, but then forgot to even write a post.  So here I am... writing my Tuesday post on Thursday.  Like I said - the baby has my brain!

I have been so forgetful lately and it's getting really annoying.  I'm so scatter minded lately and it's really just not like me to be that way.  I was talking to Kelly last night while getting a cake ready to bake.  I went outside to check the water sprinkler and sat down.  Like 30 minutes later I remembered that I was also baking a cake and I ran inside just in time to hear my timer go off.  Talk about luck!  This crap is happening all the time though.

Much like the weeks before, we haven't done anything in the nursery yet.  I'm at the point in my pregnancy now that I'll have dr appointments every 2 weeks until July 1st and we get to have another ultrasound at our next appointment on the 8th!  I'm hoping at that time the tech will be able to tell without a doubt that our sweet little baby is in fact a girl - instead of just being "pretty sure".  This mama needs some confirmation!

We're going to Texas this weekend to spend some much needed quality time with my Mama and Kelly's family.  We haven't been since January and haven't seen them since they were in town for my daddy's funeral in February.  They've missed my whole 2nd trimester!

Speaking of 2nd trimester - I thought I would be starting my 3rd trimester at 27 weeks, which was Tuesday the 29th, but my apps on my phone say that it actually starts at 28 weeks.  So I guess this is actually the last week of my 2nd trimester.  It's weird though... you would think that since I'm due July 29th and my 27th week started on April 29th, that since I would have exactly 3 months left that it would be considered starting the 3rd trimester.  I guess that's why I'm not the professional here!  Whatev... all I know is the days are flying by!

I feel pretty much the same as I have all month - craving sweets and carbs, and experiencing swelling in my feet and ankles.  On a positive note - I only gained 1 pound last month and 10 overall.  The dr. said I'm doing a great job!

Next week I plan on listing a few of the big items that are hogging space in the nursery on fb to try to get rid of them.  We also plan on having a yard sale in a couple of weeks.  If I can get rid of it on some fb sites then I'll definitely do that though!

Enough of my rambling... Have a great week and keep my little family in your prayers!
