Wade Bowen & Our Weekend

Somewhere along the way I've decided it's ok to blog on a weekly basis... and that pretty much will cover what we did over the weekend.  We just haven't been up to much lately!  I'm sure my posts will pick up more in the upcoming weeks with our anniversary and the holidays coming up, but for now ya get what ya get and ya don't throw a fit!  I can't wait to tell our kids that one day.  =)

Friday -
After work I went to Walmart to pick up a few things and ended up getting the Halloween candy for our trick-or-treaters.  I really don't know what I was thinking, to be honest.  We ripped open into every bit of those bags and have been in a sugar coma ever sense - definitely not one of my best ideas.  Live and learn...

When I finally got home, I got started getting the back lawn mowed and was just about finished when Graham got home from work.  While he was weed eating I started mowing a few rows in the front yard, but he ended up finishing it for me so I could get dinner started.

Saturday -
Hubby had the weekend off so we headed over to Artesia's annual "Art In The Park" festivities.  There were tons of vendors for food, face painting, hand-made items and crafts, as well as the high school band's cake walk.  I heard many people say that they were disappointed in the turn out, but for myself it seemed like it was better than the ones I remember in recent years.  We had a great time and picked up a couple cute items for the house, including a cute wooden sunflower welcome sign.  I also found a picket fence toilet paper holder... so, so cute!

We spent the majority of the afternoon lounging around the house / backyard.
Caution: selfies galore!  #sorrynotsorry

Later that afternoon, we picked up Reg & Staci and headed to Roswell for a night out.  We enjoyed some Red Lobster before making our way over to Way Out West to see one of our favorite TX Country artists, Wade Bowen.  I've said it before, but Graham and I are HUGE TX country fans; it was one of the first things we found we had in common, when we first started dating.  Reg & Staci are also huge fans and went to many concerts when they were going to school at Texas Tech.  The last time they saw Wade was nearly 9 years ago!

They are by far a couple of my most favorite people to be around.  We laughed, danced our butts off, and drank way too much... we had a really good time y'all!  I can't wait to see who the next live band WOW will be bringing to town.

Me and my beautiful SIL, Staci.

I really lucked out inheriting these two as my BIL & SIL!

Sunday -
After our long night out we were pretty much exhausted for the majority of the day.  We didn't even roll out of bed until around 11:30 and that was only to go pick up some food!  We just can't hang anymore... and I'm ok with that!  It's probably a good thing that those nights are becoming few and far between.  We're like an old married couple tied down with kids - except we don't have kids and we're still in our 20's.  Womp, womp, womp!!!

I hope everyone has an awesome week and if you would, take a minute to say a prayer for my sweet blog-sister, Rachel.  She could really use some extra prayers and {hugs} this week!!!
