Adobe Rose & A Whole Lotta Laziness

After weeks of having weekends full of stuff to do, I was so ready to just have a weekend where nothing was planned and we just went with the flow.  I am a very planned person.  I normally don't think there's anything wrong with making lists of everything I need to get done and having most of my days planned out, but sometimes a break is just needed.  It stresses Graham out a lot little, so we kind of took our time doing stuff around the house this weekend, which I consider having a weekend "off".  He probably didn't see it that way though.  =)

Friday -
We (finally) went to one of the newer restaurants Artesia has, called Adobe Rose.  I say "finally" because if I remember right, it's been open since like February and we had yet to get over there to check it out.  What can I say... we are definitely creatures of habit.  We only eat out 1-2 times a week (if that) and when we do it's because we've been absolutely craving something at another place.

Graham enjoyed his steak and baked potato, while I devoured some pot roast and mashed potatoes.  We shared their chips and queso, along with some espresso creme brulee, which was amazing.  I tried a margarita and their house sangria, both were so, so good!

The food was actually really good, really expensive, but really good.  Call me crazy, but when I spend nearly $100 on food, I expect it to last us for a few weeks.  I'm cheap folks. Sorry, not sorry!  It was nice to get out and enjoy something different with my hubby though.

Saturday -
It was Graham's weekend to work, so I laid in bed for a little bit and caught up on "Kendra On Top".  I'm such a sucker for reality tv!  I also went to the store to get our grocery shopping done before Graham got home at noon, since he loathes having to go with me on most days.

Other than that, I don't even really remember what we did.  I know Graham finished getting the blinds hung in the office and in our bedroom, while I worked on getting the last few boxes unpacked in our second bedroom.

Somehow I neglected to get any pictures though...

Sunday -
We went to the early service at church and then came home to do some more relaxing, which seemed to be the theme of our weekend.   We finally got tired of sitting around, so we loaded up the 4-wheeler and rode around the Guy farm for a bit.

Somebody was ready to go home! {Pouting}
We're looking forward to the upcoming annual craft show in Artesia and a TX country concert in Roswell this next weekend.  Hope y'all have a good week!
