My sweet husband turned 29 on Tuesday, so I put together a big dinner for him at our house last Saturday to celebrate it. All of Graham's family, as well as my sister and her family, and Graham's bff Jamie came out to enjoy some time with the birthday boy.
I got busy in the kitchen early that morning to get everything prepared. Somehow I didn't get one picture of any of it... but I made asado, beef enchiladas, beef fajitas, chicken fajitas, spanish rice and queso. Dessert was homemade spice cake with peanut butter frosting (Graham's fav) and a pumpkin bundt cake with a browned butter glaze.
I had my kitchen working in overdrive; I even over-loaded the breakers a good five times or so. I just about panicked when all the burners on my stove and both of my ovens shut off, but luckily it was an easy fix for the hubs. Kind of makes me nervous for Thanksgiving and Christmas to roll around though. Ahhhh!
Graham got some great gifts and even more importanly, was able to spend some much needed time with his loved ones. I can't wait to make his 30th birthday even more special. Until then, I'll just help him enjoy his last year in his 20's!
